When visualizing, you’re training your brain because you use the same parts of your brain as if you were doing the activities in reality. The best way to use visualization means imagining your performance on the pitch in as much detail as possible and from a first-person standpoint (i.e. through the eyes of the player). Visualize game situations that are likely to occur and imagine how you will play to have the best possible outcome. When you arrive in a similar situation as you imagined, you’ll act quicker and be more successful.
